Our first apple day was held at Stamford Town Hall in 2004.
We had expected a few interested people to come along, and were taken totally unawares by the amount of interest on the day - with people banging on the door before we opened clutching bags of apples for identification!
The EEAOP experts were busy all day, and they found over 30 samples that they couldn't identify - the project has obtained samples of wood for grafting and hopefully these may prove to be some of the "lost" Stamford varieties.
